After heavy usage of the cylinder a change of the piston becomes necessary. A piston change can bring your cylinder to its earlier performane by restoring its compression. Also, it can prevent (or maybe fix) a damage on the cylinder. The Malossi pistons come in "polishes" or in "oversizes" (only for the iron-cast cylinders). Last, but not least, a piston change can also prevent a damage on your pocket as it requires specifically less money than a cylinder change!!!
